On Saturday, the wrestling world shockingly lost Brodie Lee (formerly Luke Harper) at just 41 years old. More importantly, Jon Huber leaves behind a wife and two children who no longer have their father. From the outpouring of love he has received, it was a life well lived. This week, I try to do his life and career justice, but it's hard to come to grips with how something like this could happen. Tomorrow isn't promised, so make the most of today. Rest well, Jon.
On this episode, we're also covering the Slammy Awards and thoughts on the picks for Superstar of the Year and Match of the Year... WWE leaning on the legends to help ring in the new year... Ricochet's promo from Raw Talk and what needs to happen RIGHT NOW to help salvage his WWE career... my early picks for who should win the men's and women's Royal Rumble matches (and who absolutely should NOT)... Sting confirms that he DOES plan to wrestle for AEW, but in a specific type of match... and THIS WEEK IN HISTORY covers Bob Backlund losing the WWE title to The Iron Sheik and who inspired his heel persona 10 years later, Vader's New Japan debut and the fan riot that led to them being banned from Sumo Hall, Goldberg's streak comes to an end and the Million Dollar Man mistakes the Billion Dollar Princess for a HANDSOME little boy?
